To the Nordic Chess Championships 2019 for Girls, hosted by the Danish Chess Federation & Køge Skakklub

Location and accommodation

The tournament and the accommodation will take place in Køge – the main accommodation will be at the 4-star Hotel Niels Juel http://hotelnielsjuel.dk/ and the tournament takes place at Køge Skakklub’s venue: Asgård Skole, Norsvej 2, 4600 Køge.

Køge is located 46 km away from Copenhagen Airport, which is about half an hour’s drive by car or about one hour by train. By rental cars or by trains both are easy and fast.

Transportation

We will be able to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel and to the playing venue. It will take about 10 min. by car each way. However, we do not provide transportation from/to Copenhagen Airport! To find your way, use https://www.rejseplanen.dk/webapp/index.html?language=en_EN

Minor changes to the schedule are still possible until the technical meeting takes place.

Tournament rules

Five rounds using the Swiss system.  Each player gets 90 minutes with a 30 seconds increment per move. The default time will be 15 minutes. Any player arriving 15 minutes after the start of the round will lose her game, unless the Chief Arbiter decides otherwise. The tournament consist of three age groups, U-20, U-16 and U-13, with two players per country in each group. The organiser can invite more players, but not more than 49 % of players can be from the same federation. Every player is obliged to use the algebraic notation.

Class A:  For players born in 1999 or being younger

Class B:  For players born in 2003 or being younger

Class C:  For players born in 2006 or being younger

Costs

The Danish Chess Federation covers the accommodation and food for two players in each group and one team leader from each country – 2xdouble rooms and 1xtriple room.

The cost for accompanying persons, full board included at the hotel and venue, are as follow…

For 2 nights:
